BECAUSE FEMINISM: My live reactions to the opening address broadcasts of Labour, The Greens and The National Party.

Hey is that Tandi Wright on voiceover? I love her. She’s awesome.

History of the party - that’s actually a good idea, give people, especially young voters, a bit of context. Except it might be a bit dull for non-politics nerds.

COME BACK HELEN. WE MIIIIIISSSSS YOOOOOOOUUU.

This whole post (entertainingly) sums up a lot of my feelings on the NZ Election political broadcasts . Especially the National one - I seriously lasted maybe 5 minutes before it all got too painful to watch. Who put that together?! It just looked bad and who chose the shiny suit and the lighting combo? The Labour documentary-style one was interesting though and I liked the Greens’ one as well.

Topical.

Initially I was all, ‘which episode is this from?!’ and then I discovered it was in S6 aKa The Season I Mostly Didn’t Watch Because S5 Was So Bad (But Then I Heard S7 Was Better So I Tracked Down the DVDs and It was Pretty Awesome). It’s also the season where Toby’s character was made almost unrecognisable and CJ was made Chief of Staff, which … I adore CJ and Allison Janney but that was just so implausible.
