  5. I was just ranting about things like this before - I can’t believe some of the shit people tweet at celebrities. Just, why would you do that to someone?! Lauren seems really sweet, and I just seriously don’t get it. I like Twitter, I do, but sometimes I really don’t like the things it’s allowed fandom to do.

  6. It’s the pained look on Chin’s face when he says she’s like Steve that makes this scene, like ‘oh hell, there’s two of them.’

See, I didn’t mind the lack of Steve-Danny partner stuff in this episode because of this moment. Although Chin and Lori both agree that this intense, dangerous, amazing stuff makes it good that Steve is on their side, a great weapon to have at their disposal, a crucial and dangerous member of the team - Danny’s expression says something more. Danny is stunned - he never really imagined what Steve’s job looked like, never realized that Steve was putting himself on the line like this every damn day, putting himself in these nightmarish situations for the good of his country - and he’s sorry. He’s just so sorry that Steve had to do that, essentially alone in the world except for his team - sure that his father and sister never really cared about him. He’s amazed and proud of his stupid Rambo Super SEAL - but he’s sorry too. He wishes he’d been there to help make any of this the slightest bit better.

Reblogging again because ^ THIS, YES. I also love how they are all standing behind Steve, as some sort of metaphor or symbolization that they all have his back. At least that is how I chose to view this little scene right here, and it makes my heart ache. I’m also certain that Danny wanted to do nothing more but to reach out and lay his hand on Steve’s shoulder. Nothing can tell me any different. Just the look on his face when he takes those two steps to get closer to Steve. Ugh! I just love this scene. Definitely my favorite scene from tonight’s episode. By far.

I also think Danny’s a little taken aback and even a tiny bit scared by what Steve’s job actually entailed, but yes, this. All of this. Especially the hand on the shoulder. It was definitely the best scene in the episode, because hey, emotional resonance.

  9. a) I love that they just don’t comment.

    b) That is such a cute look she gives in the top right gif.

This is kinda awesome. Also … that shirt is unbuttoned quite a way.

So, because I fixate on the important things, what is up with Steve’s wardrobe in this?

Not that I’m complaining that he’s in a suit, and in jeans (from the promo shots), because there can never be enough of those things, but the blue and white shirt is a little puzzling. Were they just trying something new?
